Reviews
I've looked at a few early books regarding the D600; this one compares favorably. Another plus for this little gem is it's size & format-- it's bound spirally & stays open. It's small enough to throw into a camera bag, too. (too big for a pocket, however). It covers most if not all the same ground as the other books-- buttons, menus and all that. I like that the author (who has apparently written numerous camera books) sort of "disappears" in that he just tells you about the camera, he doesn't get funny or interject a lot of his own personality. My two favorite sections are towards then end of this approximately 200 page book. One section covers quite well the video function of the camera; the other (Chapter 7) is a collection of suggested menu settings for various types of shooting (portraits, sports/action, studio, long exposure, etc.).Price is very reasonable, too.
