Reviews
It is nice to see a vast collection of Britten Cycles available for the first time. Consisting of "A Charm of Lullabies", "Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo", "Winter Words", "On This Island" and many other full cycles and partial cycles, this book is a steak. I believe the Boosey &Hawkes book of "On This Island" is roughly $20. I believe I paid $25 for this full book. Individually, this works in this collection would cost well over $100. It's well worth the price to invest in this book. Please Note: THIS COLLECTION IS NOT THE FOLKSONG ARRANGEMENT COLLECTION, NOR DOES IT HAVE ANY BRITTEN FOLKSONG ARRANGEMENTS IN IT.For a full list of works and songs, go to Boosey & Hawkes website.
